ALFA Power Solutions provides inverters for Ling Ao and Daya Bay nuclear power plant Refurbishing Reference

Daya Bay and Ling Ao Nuclear Power Stations are the two first installed nuclear power plants in China, located about 50 km from Hong Kong. They comprise a total of 4 units and have been in operation for the past 20 years, providing energy to Shenzhen, the most important industrial city in the region with more than 10 million inhabitants.

Given the age of the two plants they recently required refurbishment. The plant’s operator, Chinese Nuclear Power Engineering Company (CNPEC), chose the ALFA Power Solutions inverters for the task to meet the highest standards of reliability and ruggedness, ensuring a secure and continuous power supply. Transpower products are designed to meet the stringent requirements of the nuclear industry, including resistance to seismic events and high temperatures. A special project team comprising United States and Chinese engineers from ALFA UPS has been set up to execute the project. Teamwork and professional technical support are crucial to CNPEC.
