powerbox BWT is a customized DC power supply for on-board use according to the requirements of the manufacturer of electrochlorination ballast water treatment systems. ALFA Power Solutions can provide the customer with required certifications upon request. ALFAUPS’s voltage sequence control (VSC) technology guarantees a high power factor and low-harmonics (THDi) as well as a high degree of robustness and efficiency. The basic technology has been around since the late 1950’s but was substantially improved when thyristors (SCRs) were introduced for variable step control in the 1970’s. ALFA UPS developed this technology even further using a continuous control system and a state-of-theart SCR and controller hardware platform. Since 1986 digital SCR power controllers have been standard for ALFA UPS product scope with its leading product – the Thyro-P.
